Hi, I’m Sclerostonisore. My friends call me Roddy. Mr. T (The Trigemenal Neuralgia monster) and Gravey (The Graves’ Disease monster) are my best buddies and we like to play miniature golf together. ⛳️ I have Scleroderma and it’s considered a rare disease, so not a lot of people know about it.
“Sclero” means thickening or hard, and “derma” means skin. It happens when your immune system overproduces collagen. Systemic scleroderma can involve the skin, esophagus, gastrointestinal tract (stomach and bowels), lungs, kidneys, heart and other internal organs. It can also affect blood vessels, muscles and joints. It’s a lot, I know! 😕
Don’t feel bad for me though, I enjoy life to the fullest and my friends say I’m always positive. I may look a little scary on the outside 😱 to some, I can assure you I’m not. I even like hugs 🤗 but gently, ’cause big hugs can hurt. 😫
You can say this sums me up:
Favorite Color: Teal
Superpower: Has impenetrable skin
Prone to: Fatigue, pain, hardening of organs
Want a little Chargieville love in your own home? That’s possible.
